HUG SCULPTURE
The ceramic Hug Sculpture, almost two meters high, is an interactive work that can be sat on and touched. The soft-looking, almost physical shapes and colorful glazes invite the viewer to become a participant in the work and to be carried away by the shapes and colors of the work.

Breastparty XL was commissioned for the outdoor art biennale Artzuid in Amsterdam. In this work I explore the limits of the human body in ceramics. with Breastparty XL I show the breast not only as feminine, erotic or perfectly shaped, but as an powerful, fluid, transient, fluid, vulnerable and self contained form. I have translated the sensuality, sexuality and fluidity of the body into this larger-than-life sculpture in shape and color with the aim of celebrating the body, but also commenting on how the female body is still seen in society.
